The Seattle-based African-American Writers’ Alliance (AAWA) is a dynamic collective of writers of African descent, offering a supportive space for emerging and published voices. Through peer review, collaboration, and public readings, members strengthen their craft and share their work. AAWA uplifts authentic storytelling, affirming that our stories—past, present, and in between—are vital to African American history and must be told in our own words.
