About the event

Seattle-King County-Regional literary organizations have joined together to present the work of poets who represent the work they do every day to fight injustice and inequity in our city, county, and state. Host Raven Chronicles Press was established in Seattle in 1991 to publish and showcase work that embodies the cultural diversity of writers and artists in Washington State and elsewhere. In February 2016, the first Poets Against Hate event was hosted by Raven Chronicles and It’s About Time Reading Series at the Central Seattle Library. In 2024, we are joined by partners Jack Straw Cultural Center, Cascadia Poetics Lab, It’s About Time Reading Series, PONGO Poetry Project, Recovery Café’s Safe Place Writing Circle, and the African American Writers’ Alliance.
