CELEBRATING OUR EARTH: An Evening of Stories with Eva Abram and Billie Barnes
Aprilis the Month for Seattle Storytellers Guild’s Annual Earth Day Storytelling Program. This year, we are featuring two fine storytellers - who will remind us that despite our differences, we all share our planet.
Eva Abram(AAWA member) grew up collecting rainwater for household use; that experience taught her that water is essential for life and the same is true of stories, they nourish human beings, as rainwater nourishes the earth’s plants and animals. Stories are carried across the globe, connecting us with one another.
Billie L Barnesis a beader, weaver, drummer, singer, belly dancer and storyteller! She tells tales of traveling by oceangoing canoe across the Salish Sea and coastal Pacific, racing a dragon boat in China "till my arms fell off”... and of more journeys to New Zealand, Jamaica, Mexico, Egypt, Ireland - even Tennessee!
Free admission. Donations welcome! Refreshments served.
